I saw the original mashup and thought it was mildly interesting. Then someone linked me to an HTML5 version which utilized jQuery. So, I wondered if I could do it without JavaScript.

So this is the result. This version makes use of CSS3 for animation and interaction. There is absolutely no JavaScript on this page.
